Other means to get to Koh Chang
If your schedule does not match our time tables or if you feel that your require a higher level of comfort for your transfer to Koh Chang, here are some other options to consider.
The Bangkok Airport Limousine Service
Smaller parties (1-3 persons) may prefer to travel the approximately 5 hours from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport all the way to their resort on Koh Chang in a private, chauffeur driven Bangkok airport limousine. For families or groups of 3 or more persons, or those that carry a lot of luggage, there is the Minibus to Koh Chang transfer service.
By Airplane
If you can find a good connection, flying to Trat airport can potentially reduce your travel time to the island to just a couple of hours. Rates are obviously high and the time savings only compensate for that if your international flight lands between 1.5 and 2.5 hours prior to departure of the domestic flight to Trat. They operate a daily bus service between Kai Bae Beach on Koh Chang, the Makathanee pier on Koh Mak and many of the private piers on Koh Kood under which the Koh Kood Resort and other popular resorts like the Sea Far Resort.
